Geoff Tanner delivered an outstanding performance, finishing fifth overall with an average speed of 81.54 mph and setting a remarkable lap at 83 mph—an enduring benchmark for a 350cc International. Tanner’s performance on this machine marked a key moment in his career, as he would go on to achieve further success the following year aboard the legendary Norton Manx, winning both the Junior and Senior Manx Grands Prix.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis rare Norton International Clubman retains all matching numbers, including its rare numbered close-ratio gearbox, and is a highly original example in every respect.\u003cspan class=\"Apple-converted-space\"\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRestored 16 years ago by respected Norton restorer Bernie Allen in the UK, the Clubman has seen minimal use since and remains in outstanding condition. Its history is well documented, with accompanying period photographs of Geoff Tanner in action, contemporary magazine coverage, and a later feature in the magazine Classic Rider, celebrating the reunion of Geoff Tanner with the very machine he raced following its restoration.
