Long term family ownership. The Indian Scout was an inheritance from the father in law of the present owner. When he got it, it was a very complete bike but in need of total restoration.
The engine and gearbox rebuild was undertaken by an experienced Indian and HD engine builder. The remainder of the motorcycle was restored, assembled and run in by another very experienced engineer who has several restorations under his belt, ranging from Henderson Fours, Vincent Twins, Nimbus stove pipes etc. He has been restoring motorcycles proffessionally for the last forty years and his work has always been regarded as the best.
The 1930 Indian Scout has run approximately 500kms since restoration and has since been stored in a purpose build, wooden crate in a warm, climate controlled space. The owner would not risk anything!.
The original sales receipt and registration documents from 1930 are still with the Indian.
The Indian is registered on current Danish registration documents.
