A very unusual and rare Zenith B5 De Luxe with original racing specification JAP 500cc OHV Twin Port engine. Bore and Stroke is 85.5 x 85.
Confirmed matching numbers for frame and engine. Original Burman BAP 4 speed gearbox fitted. Best and Lloyd oil pump.
The Zenith B5 is an older restoration by its long term owner, a trained engineer.
The Zenith has not travelled far since its restoration, so it remains in very good mechanical and cosmetic condition, paint and chrome is excellent. The engine has very good compression. The gears engage smoothly and accurately. The brakes are firm.
The Zenith has been unused for a number of years so will need a light recommissioning but other than that, it is ready to be registered and used on the road.
Original Brampton front fork fitted as well as the original Enfield front and rear hubs. Original Lucas 8inch headlight.
Zeniths came back in to production in 1931 with 1932 models, so it is a rare bird indeed, only two other 1932 Zeniths are known to the VMCC.
Comes with a copy of original 1932 Zenith catalogue, a copy of a letter from the 1932 Zenith importer confirming dispatch date and frame and engine numbers.
