1934 BSA J34-11 500cc OHV V-Twin
1934 BSA J34-11 500cc OHV V-Twin
A rare bird: This 1934 BSA J12-34 is one of the rarer civilian models, delivered new on 2 January 1934 to Hadley in Chelmsford, UK. Confirmed matching numbers for engine and frame.
Introduced at the 1933 Olympia Show, the BSA OHV V-twin was in production for just a few years in the mid 1930s and was a sporting twin that differentiated itself from the single cylinder line up of BSA. Higher lift camshafts and shorter pushrods made for a compact and sporty engine.
This BSA V-Twin was restored by the last owner in the 1980s, comes from long term ownership and now presents with a lovely patina. There is one small dent on the right hand side just by the seat but otherwise in a lovely patinated condition. Mechanically it is on the button, having just had the magneto completely refurbished.
Correct specification with original BSA levers, Amal brass carb, original toolboxes and rear rack in place, petrol tank panel with original brass light, ammeter and oil pressure gauge and so on.
This rare 500cc BSA V-Twin is now ready to be enjoyed on the road.
